Power Toothpaste Goes Retail!

We had the chance to check out Power Toothpaste when they were first crowdfunding their product. Caffeinated toothpaste may sound crazy, but it’s actually pretty delicious and seems to offer a legitimate boost of energy in the mornings! I’ve used my sample toothpastes a few times when I didn’t have time for coffee and needed a boost to get to work, and found it really was fairly effective. Now everyone can have the same opportunity to get hyper while brushing their teeth, but it won’t come cheap. Power Toothpaste is retailing at $14.99 for one tube, though the five-pack brings…

Rest Your Head on the Awesome Eve Pillow

Some time back I reviewed the eve mattress. It is a great mattress that belongs to the growing number of “bed in a box” offerings that can be found on the internet. Raina and I sleep on the review sample every night. When the company offered a review sample of their pillow, I jumped at the opportunity. Here’s a look.

Bellabeat Leaf Urban: Sleep, Exercise, Meditate, and Stay Healthy

One of the things that so many health trackers have in common is that they look exactly like what they are — utilitarian step counters worn on our wrists. All of them track steps, many track sleep, and some throw a few extra tricks in to sweeten the package. The Bellabeat Leaf Urban tracks steps, sleep, meditation, and reproductive health.

Guys, Get Rid of That Summer (Back Hair) Sweater with baKblade

I’m not quite sure how I pull off these plum review assignments. I’ve got another one today and I’m hoping to share it with you  without making the whole team jealous. Meet bakBlade, which does exactly what you may presume it does – shaves the hair off your back (and any other flat surface such as arms or chest).

A Skeptic’s Review of ActiveEdge Gear

When I first heard about Active Edge, I was skeptical. Carly had written about them some time ago, and her review left me curious. When I was offered an Active Edge shirt to try, I wasn’t sure what my experience might be. This post holds my subjective thoughts on the product.

Simple Workout Log Makes My FrankenWorkout Easy to Follow!

I’ve bounced between a number of different workout programs; I started with Stronglifts 5×5, then You Are Your Own Gym. Both programs had dedicated apps, so I didn’t have to think about how to track my progress. Since then, I’ve concocted a frankenworkout, but I needed an easy way to track the routine, and Simple Workout Log is my favorite!

Vega Protein Powder and Preworkout supplement

Protein powder and other supplements can be controversial. Some see them as a useful tool to aid in meeting nutritional goals, or in recovering or prepping for workouts, while others doubt their efficacy. Adding to the complication is that most protein powders are whey (dairy) based; there is an alternative for vegans and anyone who avoids dairy with Vega supplements!
