Dell has reimagined their popular XPS 13 laptop and it’s more svelte than ever before. To that effect, Dell claims that it’s now the world’s smallest 13-inch laptop. It manages to do this by fitting a 13-inch InfinityEdge display inside an 11 inch frame. Weighing in at just 2.68 lbs, the new XPS 13 for 2018 is indeed smaller, 30% thinner, and lighter than its predecessor. For additional reference, its predecessor weighed about 2.93 lbs with a Quad HD touch display, so it’s shaved off nearly a quarter of a pound.
Lenovo makes what I sometimes joke are the Toyota of computer —they aren’t always flashy, but they are solid workhorses that can and will handle anything you toss their way. 2018 is bringing some new updates for the Lenovo ThinkPad lines, and whether you need a ThinkPad T, X, or L, they’ve got you covered with an impressively updated lineup!

The MacBook Air may not have been the first ultra-portable, but within a few years, it set a standard upon which other thin and light notebooks were judged. One thing it has never been, however, is cheap. Plenty of people would like a light notebook, but simply can’t afford it.
ASUS has announced the world’s lightest 14 inch business notebook. Coming in at only 2.31lbs, the B9440 will be available in May 2017 and will retail for $999. Not only is the notebook light, but it also takes up no more of a footprint than most 13 inch notebooks.
