HP Spectre x360 15″ Gets Revamped for 2018

One of the greatest things about technology is how swiftly features trickle down from “whoa, computers can do that?” to “all computers have that”. Touchscreens are a perfect example; they’ve gone from being expensive and poorly implemented to a must-have in any high-end laptop, and the new HP Spectre x360 15″ is taking full advantage!

Dell XPS 13 Goes on a Diet, and Gets Haute New White Color

Dell has reimagined their popular XPS 13 laptop and it’s more svelte than ever before. To that effect, Dell claims that it’s now the world’s smallest 13-inch laptop. It manages to do this by fitting a 13-inch InfinityEdge display inside an 11 inch frame. Weighing in at just 2.68 lbs, the new XPS 13 for 2018 is indeed smaller, 30% thinner, and lighter than its predecessor. For additional reference, its predecessor weighed about 2.93 lbs with a Quad HD touch display, so it’s shaved off nearly a quarter of a pound.

ASUS has announced the world’s lightest 14 inch business notebook. Coming in at only 2.31lbs, the B9440 will be available in May 2017 and will retail for $999. Not only is the notebook light, but it also takes up no more of a footprint than most 13 inch notebooks.

Has Windows 10 Ruined My Kool-Aid?

Everyone who knows me and my tech preferences know me as an Apple guy. Some say I have drank the proverbial Kool-Aid. Other than work, I have used Apple products exclusively for almost a decade. A recent review by Judie persuaded me to jump back into the world of Windows. The jump has been surprisingly good!

The HP Elite x2: This Two-In-One Is Ready for Business

Confession: I bought a fully loaded Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with the (optional) purple keyboard cover last year. But as much as I loved the idea of the 2-in-1 Surface Pro, I ultimately sent it back. Why? One of the biggest reasons was that I hated the keyboard.

Dell XPS 15 Laptop: Bigger Really Is Better #DellXPS

The Dell XPS 13 has turned out to be such a fantastic travel laptop that I’d find myself wishing for a larger version, and the Dell XPS 15 does not disappoint. With its machined aluminum body, carbon fiber composite interior, and Gorilla Glass Infinity Edge touchscreen, the XPS 15″ manages to wedge a 15.6″ laptop into a 14″ body.

The Surface Pro 3 Is Ready to Meet All Your Computing Needs

Years back, I got caught up in the UMPC — UltraMobilePC- fad. (I blame James Kendrick and his JKontheRun blog.) None of those devices lived up to their promise of a full PC in a small, touchscreen device. Fast forward, and that promise has been realized in the Microsoft Surface line of computers. microsoft, via CDW sent one to Judie; I “borrowed” it. 🙂
