Put Your Device’s Cable on a Keyring with the inCharge
InCharge is a successfully funded IndieGoGo project that solves a lot of first-world problems us gadgets users have: Not having a cable to charge our devices at all times.

I’ve been committed to getting in better shape this year. We ended up canceling our gym membership at the start of the summer, and I switched to bodyweight workouts for strength training. There are a few ways to take bodyweight training up a notch, including suspension straps, and Lifeline Fitness sent me their Jungle Gym XT straps to test!
The notion of a kickstand phone case is intriguing to me as its such a new development: only in the last few years have we had the screen size and camera resolution to make it useful. The Moshi Kameleon for iPhone 6/6s is a kickstand case for your iPhone that hides it’s utilitarian nature in a solid looking shell.
The IK Multimedia iKlip Studio is, “A sturdy, adjustable stand for iPad and iPad mini” and it works well. Priced under $30, it creates a stable base for your tablet whether you are a musician or simply want your tablet at a stable, easy-to-read angle. It folds flat, is easy to transport, easy to use, and works well! IK Multimedia notes that the iKlip Stand is designed for musicians. In fact, on the product page they say: “Let’s face it, there’s enough pressure in the studio without having to worry about breaking your iPad. We’ve elegantly solved this problem with…
When I purchased my Apple Watch I knew I wanted a dock for it. After all, I don’t want to leave my watch simply sitting on my table charging each night. That, however, meant an additional device charger on my table. The Griffin WatchStand allows me to charge both my phone and a second device at the same time.
How’d you like to put your iPhone into a case that could survive just about anything short of a nuclear blast? If your job takes you outdoors on a regular basis, or even if you just want to know that your phone will be safe by the hot tub or pool, the LUNATIK TAKTIK 360 could be your perfect solution.
I tend to carry my phone ‘naked’, but have always demanded that my kids and my wife use a case. Since discovering thin and light cases can provide excellent protection we’ve used several, and the iGlaze Armour for iPhone 6/6s is a solid option for when you need a case that is unobtrusive and reasonably priced.
Several of us have said before that it is hard to truly assess a ‘daily use’ item in a quick review done in a day or two of use immediately after a product launch. Maybe there are updates coming so we are less critical in that area, or maybe we can accommodate a behavior change in the short term that we can’t over the long haul. So instead of a ‘review’, I wanted to post 10 first impressions of the new iPad Pro. Of course, I am writing this post on the Pro! I think it is important to understand…
We were in Macy’s over the weekend, and my son was excited at checking out the watches (aka “clocks” in toddler-speak), when I saw a display that made me do a double-take. Apparently Casio is tapping into the general nostalgia wave that’s brought back flannel, vinyl records, and JNCO jeans with their new Retro line…unfortunately, the price isn’t retro too!
Last year Timbuk2 and Blue Bottle Coffee created their first travel kit, which released just in time for the holidays. This year they’ve got an even bigger and better holiday collaboration brewing, and if you are stumped about what to give your favorite serious coffee drinker (even if it’s you), then The Sabbatical should be a winner!
Corkcicle is a product I stumbled upon from a co-worker that has a ridiculous addition to coffee, and an even crazier need for it to be steaming hot as if their local coffee shop just brewed it. So when the company sent over not one, but TWO of their products for me to review, I was excited. One of the products that they sent to me was their Corckcicle Tumbler. This product is one that will literally keep your beverages hot or cold for long periods of time. So if you’re on the go in the morning and you…
As an Architect in the digital age, I have to review, mark up, and collaborate on construction documents every day, sometimes on the go. BluVue looks like an awesome mobile construction software that allows you to manage, distribute, annotate, and share plans digitally with any iPhone, iPad, or Android device. You can check it out today with a free trial.
The IK Multimedia iRig Acoustic is something totally new and hugely innovative. As the company notes it, “Reinvents Guitar Miking for Mobile” and does so in a smart, innovative way that musicians are going to love. It is the first acoustic guitar mobile microphone/interface for use with iOS devices, Macs and Androids too! It is nicely-priced and easy to use! As IK Multimedia explains, “Now acoustic players can get stunning, studio-microphone quality sound for recording and live performance from any acoustic guitar anytime and everywhere.” iRig is the best-selling mobile interface of all time. With the iRig Acoustic it is,…
The ‘teens appear to be banner years for Mazda. Not only did it just garner a new overall brand award but the automaker has been introducing stylish, fuel-conscious vehicles that are meeting and exceeding the needs of the next generation of drivers and families. Among those is this all-new subcompact crossover utility vehicle dubbed CX-3.
If you’ve already invested a lot of money in an indoor portable speaker, you’ve probably caught yourself babying it. It doesn’t go outside, and you would never allow it to fall — on purpose, anyway. But wouldn’t you like to have one that you could take everywhere without worry?
I’ve always had a soft spot for Misfit Wearables. They’re not as well-known as Fitbit, nor are they as prolific as Jawbone, but they have a niche in minimalist fitness trackers. Misfit has always put fashion on par with function, and now that they’ve been acquired by Fossil I think we’ll see even more of that aesthetic coming soon!
I recently reviewed the ZVOX SoundBase 450, and it is currently serving as our home theater sound system. It is impressive, and even when it was full price, it was affordable. ZVOX has just announced their Black Friday deals that start on the 15th, and let me tell you — this is a great time to buy.
I had the opportunity to review Cheero’s Power Plus 3 backup battery pack. The 13400mAh battery is small and round and although it has the same qualities as the Ingress I reviewed a few months ago, it packs a bit more in its frame, because it’s not the size of the boat…
While some people can simply include exercise as part of their healthy lifestyle, most people need more incentive: they need goals, motivation, and a PLAN. Simply tracking isn’t enough, something that Runtastic gets and has implemented in their new Results app. Results delivers focused training plans to help you reach your goals! Online training programs are becoming more and more popular and effective, replacing DVD and old VHS ‘Sweatin’ to the Oldies’ routines by focusing on shorter, more rigorous workouts that deliver visible results more quickly and effectively. It does this by maximizing the effectiveness of your workout time. “Runtastic…
I love my original generation Pebble, and I am hooked on notifications via this simple smartwatch. If Pebble is a basic smartwatch, Martian watches are even simpler, and I’ve had the chance to test them with the Martian Envoy G10. It’s a traditional watch with a small notification ticker, but it’s got some voice tricks up its sleeve too!
Monster is synonymous with audio equipment from cables to headphones, and I was very excited to review the new Monster Clarity HD Headphones (there may have been an incident involving a toddler and my previous headphones). The Clarity’s are bud-style wired headphones, and while they look great, we couldn’t find anyone in my house who could comfortably wear them.
