Huawei dazzled us last year with the China-only Mate X. Today, Huawei has introduced its next-gen Mate Xs with almost worldwide availability.
Earlier today, we got the sad news that due to concerns over the Corona Virus, Mobile World Congress was canceled. Fortunately, that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing great new hardware this spring. Samsung led the way at their Unpacked event, announcing the new Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra.

Until folding phones manufacturers are able to sort out all their devices’ inherent issues, we can look to LG and their Dual Screen solution which we first saw on the V50 ThinQ at MWC. That Dual Screen case option wasn’t available in the US, however. Now we have the LG G8X ThinQ, and yes — it’s coming to the US!

One of the big debates behind the scenes at Gear Diary is whether a tablet makes more sense than a low-end computer like a Chromebook. The consensus is that sometimes you still need a computer, but there’s a lot of potential benefit to a good tablet. Samsung agrees, and they’re throwing all sorts of features into the Android-powered Galaxy Tab S6!
