Other than comments on really cool cars I am testing, I usually don’t have too many coworkers remarking on the gear I am reviewing. The first day I carried the new Razer Tactical Gaming Backpack into work, however, that changed. No sooner did I toss it down on the counter than the Razer bag became a hit.
While it may be functional to grab a backpack to carry all her stuff to the office, my wife prefers something a bit more stylish for her personal and work items in her professional environment. Enter Mobile Edge For Her and its new Verona Laptop Tote that offers combines fashion-inspired styling with real world functionality.
With May being National Bike Month, and record high temperatures in full effect, this means a lot of folks are commuting and heading to work on their fixies, or whichever two bikes they see fit. The commuting aspect is easy, but unlike having a passenger seat to throw your bag or purse onto, you’ll need a means of putting your gear as well as extra clothes into something. So it…
I love backpacks. Unfortunately, it can be hard to find a backpack you want to use for everyday items. Either it looks like you’re on your way to your first day of pre-K, or you look like you might summit Everest on the way to the office. Case Logic’s Griffith Park Ion backpack aims to sit between those extremes.
My criteria for a backpack that I’ll use for longer than during the review period (and that I’ll continue to enjoy carrying) is pretty basic: it needs to be light when empty, durable, good-looking, well-organized, and it must be comfortable to wear when it is inevitably overloaded. The booq Cobra squeeze meets all of my needs and then some.
Today Apple released two Yosemite security updates; one for early 2015 Mac, (the latest Macbook released March 9th) and one for us using Yosemite 10.10.2 or older.
Do you ever feel like finding the perfect laptop bag won’t ever happen? Finding a bag that looks nice without looking like a target, that carries everything without being too heavy or bulky, and one that will last longer than the warranty can be tough. With that in mind, I’m kind of digging the new booq Cobra Squeeze.
Here at GearDiary, a lot of us writers test out new products all the time. But with all of the awesome items we see & review, I figured I’d throw out a few of my favorite daily drivers that I use the most.
It’s not that uncommon for us to review laptop bags that retail for $150+ and to add our own extended battery packs to the mix, but the $199 Phorce Freedom is the first we’ve reviewed that came with its own built-in 15,000 mAh power source. Why should you get this bag instead of creating your own with available components?
We love Waterfield products and look to them to protect our gear when we go on the road. We also love seeing the company come up with new ways to bring their great aesthetic and device protection together. That’s certainly the case with the new Waterfield Bolt Briefcase. It’s the Waterfield bag for the man, or woman, who means business. The Bolt Briefcase comes in two sizes. The large version…
If your free time is spent taking your sailboat out on the lake, or if you’re serious enough about your sailing to be part of a regatta, then you’ve no doubt heard of SailorBags. Their sailcloth bags are water-resistant, tough, and — as you’d expect — nautically colored; they also now have a Laptop bag and an iPad sleeve.
When selecting a messenger bag, especially to actually use on a bicycle like they were originally intended for, balance is everything. It’s important to maintain a proper balance between being big enough to hold your stuff and not too bulky to ride with. And the actual balance of the payload is critical. The Altego Lunar Mirror Messenger has it all!
It is always fun when Chrome announces a new line of bags. Their offerings are always among the best made, the most stylish and the most functional. The new Chrome Motor Series lineup is no exception. The new line includes the Barrage, the Citizen, the Tool Roll, and the Dirt Bag. Admit it, even the names are cool.
I am amazed at how much stuff I used to carry in a gear bag. The bags were huge and packed with back-breaking weight. As our devices get lighter and smaller, the need for huge, heavy bags is a thing of the past. The Mobile Edge Tech Briefcase promises to make your commute stylish and slim at only $79.99.
We always love it when Waterfield SFBags announces a new product. In this case, the Waterfield VertiGo 2.0 is a new take on an old favorite. This new laptop bag takes tons of feedback into consideration is a good example of how this company is constantly working to offer the best-designed, most function and most attractive products possible.
Booq is one of those companies that, time and again, serves up bags, backpacks and sleeves that impress with both their design and their features. The new Booq Cobra pack is no exception. At $295 it is a pricey backpack but it promises to hold a ton of gear and serve you for years to come.
We were using a generic LL Bean backpack as a diaper bag, but when sent the Case Logic Berkeley Plus to review, we switched to it as our main backpack and never looked back. This is a backpack meant for a 15.6″ laptop, but we found it does an amazing job holding kiddo stuff PLUS delicate electronics; it’s only $59.99.

I was thrilled when Think Tank Photo introduced their ‘My 2nd Brain’ line of bags. I love the company’s camera bags and really like the way their have applied their expertise to laptop and tablet bags. The first offerings in the line were North/South bags while their new Think Tank Photo My 2nd Brain Briefcase takes the more familiar East/West approach.
It’s easy to find structured, businesslike leather laptop bags, but when you want something a bit more casual and feminine — yet still made of leather and stylish — options become limited. That’s why it was love at first site when I found TravelTeq Mirjam Leather Shopper, a handmade brown leather laptop bag that can double as an everyday tote.
