Have you got an Apple Watch that you’d like to lift up and off of your desk when charging? Do you travel a lot and need something that doesn’t make it complicated to remove your charging cable when it’s time to pack? If that’s you, then you should check out the Just Mobile TimeStand.
Right before I left for a few weeks of travel I received my next Starbucks Bloggers Box. This time it was filled with some tasty Starbucks summer treats. It also included an awesome picnic basket and patterned picnic throw but the real stars of the show were the various coffees. Lets run down what was in the box.
I’m not sure why it has taken me this long to write this review but, having just returned from two weeks in Israel and Greece I felt the need to share my thoughts on my Tilley TH5 HEMP Hat. This $84 hat is, by far, the best damn travel hat EVER. I’ve had it for years and still love it.
One thing that my girlfriend got as a gift from her boss was a car mount for her phone. It was a white elephant gift, and although the value it cost them was probably about $7 bucks, she uses this everyday on her daily commute to and from work to house her phone.
I confess, I have a soft spot for Angry Birds. It’s an easy game to play, and I find it works well as a “time killer” type app. Usually at any given time I have one or two variations on my phone or tablet for casual play. So I do genuinely like the games, and I hate Angry Birds 2.
We try not to let my son have an excess amount of television or tablet time, but as he has become a toddler it has become harder to ban them outright. He knows our phones and tablets have games and videos, so we’ve slowly started adding more toddler-friendly educational games. His favorite and mine is SUPER WHY!, based on the show!
Just when you thought station wagons had gone the way of the Dodo bird, Volkswagen releases a new model – dubbed SportWagen – and releases it on the family of vehicle that brought home the 2015 North American Car of the Year crown, the VW Golf. The V-dub Golf S-dub arrived earlier this year and it replaces the Jetta SportWagen.
You’d be surprised how dirty your phone truly is. Most of us take our smartphones with us everywhere. The doctor, your kitchen, the bathroom. You can only imagine how disgusting half of the places you take your phone, then right after put it to your ears and mouth to make a call. Our bodies can only take so much.
We’ve hit a point in technology where everything needs to be charged. When I go to bed I do a rundown of my needs — phone plugged in, iPad plugged in, Kindle Fire (son’s “games and videos tablet”) plugged in, etc. Heck, I even have a hat that needs to be charged sometimes! The madness never ends, and the other night I forgot to charge my Pebble when it was down to 20%.
As of late, I’ve been doing a lot of traveling. And one thing I hate is the fact that when going through baggage check I have to take my laptop out of my bag. So when I had the opportunity to get my hands on the ECBC Lance Daypack, which is every traveler’s dream bag, I jumped.
I’ve always been a fan of hoodies and sweats, and although it’s a bit too warm right now to wear them, I tend to wear them in my house quite often. When I fly as well, I enjoy having something comfortable around my head and there’s nothing more comfortable than a hoodie.
In doing gear reviews, we get to test some pretty cool things – you know, those hot ticket items. This is one of those gadgets, and in case you didn’t guess suspect something from my adjectives I am talking about the Seek Thermal Camera for the latest iOS and Android devices, and it comes in normal and extended range versions.
I’m coming toward the end of a two-week trip. I spent the first week in Israel with side trips into the West Bank cities of Ramallah and Rawabi. This week saw me in Greece with Raina. Through it all some key items have come in rather handy. Chief among them the Waterfield Indy Bag Judie reviewed some time ago.
Running shoes can be a controversial subject. Ask ten runners, and you’re likely to get twenty opinions on what constitutes a good shoe. I’ve gravitated towards very minimal shoes the last few years, so I was unsure how running in the Brooks Glycerin 13 shoes would feel by comparison. Surprisingly, the shoe itself proved less controversial than the colors!
There are two things that I always have on me: My wallet and my keys. With technology catching up fast, I’m finding less and less use for my wallet, but one thing that I know I will need for at least the next 4-5 years are house keys. And there’s nothing worse than losing those.
Motorola has been having a busy morning. They’re updating their flagship Moto X with not one but two new devices, plus their budget Moto G is getting a boost as well! All three phones are going to be available via Moto Maker, so your phone will be uniquely yours. The question is, which one to buy?
I use my iPhone to take almost all of my photos anymore; the 6 Plus’s camera is excellent, but it does have limitations. I first found out about the Ztylus case and Revolver 4-in-1 lens system at CE Week, and it intrigued me; after several weeks of use, I figure it’s time you found out about it, too.
When preparing for a camping trip or backpacking adventure one thing that is key to consider is weight. Keeping the load light will extend the distance your feet (and back) will be able to endure each day. The HybridLight expandable lantern and flashlight from Cellular Outfitter is an item that you need on your next adventure.
Everyone could use some added protection to their new Apple Watch from a rough bump against something, or even if it by chance drops. A Kickstarter created by “designed by m”, the Banded Classic Protective Housing is a US made case for the Apple Watch that adds an even more protective element to your wrist wear.
Do you have way too many things to charge and not enough outlets to charge them all? Or do you have annoying little USB cubes in every port with one or two devices charging and want to free up clutter?
