We can’t say that we didn’t see this coming, but just in time for May the Fourth, a multiplayer mode has finally arrived for the Star Wars: Jedi Challenges AR system. More specifically, the multiplayer mode is being called Lightsaber Versus Mode, and it will be available via a free app update on the App Store and Google Play.

When we reviewed Star Wars: Jedi Challenges last month, we expected that Lenovo and Disney would be pushing out new content for the system over time. They haven’t disappointed us, and have just announced that new content is coming that is inspired by Star Wars Episode 8 The Last Jedi.
Lenovo’s Star Wars: Jedi Challenges is arguably the most exciting use of augmented reality we’ve seen to date. I’ve had the 12.9″ iPad Pro since it came out, and while there are things I absolutely love about using a larger tablet, lugging it around isn’t one of them.
