Thanks to the folks at TVape, we recently had the opportunity to review the Zeus Arc GTS Hub. It’s a great portable vape, but what impressed us the most was the new pod system that lets you quickly change out your dry herb load. TVape also sent the Arizer Argo, which offers a different approach to quick loading and swapping.
Three years ago, we reviewed the Zeus Arc GT. The small, compact device combines superb industrial design with the latest vaping technology. Now the company is back with a new model; the Zeus Arc GTS Hub Kit includes a vape that looks quite similar to its predecessor. Under the hood, there are significant improvements to the vape, but more importantly, it’s now part of a larger ecosystem.
We’ve covered quite a few vaporizers on Gear Diary, and many of them feature exciting new battery technology or fancy heating elements. But sometimes, it’s fun to get back to the most basic concept of vaporizing — heating material until it gives off a vapor. You don’t need batteries or a fancy heating system with the Vapman Classic, just a torch lighter and some patience!
You may have seen or heard of Delta-8 THC in gummy, vape, and other forms. It’s very similar to Delta-9, better known as the compound in marijuana that makes you high. The key differences are that Delta-8 provides a milder high, and it is derived from hemp, making it legal across the US thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill. We were sent a sample of CBD Living Delta-8 vape cartridges, and we were very excited to check them out!
Back in 2017, we reviewed the DaVinci IQ Precision Vaporizer and were impressed. The company recently unveiled its latest, the DaVinci IQC Vaporizer. At $229, the IQC is $70 less than the IQ2. The IQC lacks its older sibling’s Air Dial that lets users adjust the airflow, but it adds charging via USB Type-C. Let’s take a look.
Dry herb vaping is a fairly simple concept. Heat herbs, inhale the vapor, repeat as needed. But while it can be simple, there are many opportunities to blend technology into the process. AirVape Legacy SE Vaporizer puts simplicity and technology together into a single solid and sleek package!
We’ve reviewed numerous portable vaporizers, but few, if any, have the style and refinement of the AirVape X. The $139 vape is available in your choice of black or blue and, despite the affordable price, is packed with the latest technology. High-grade materials, state-of-the-art heating technology, and a lifetime warranty make this a great option.
We’ve covered dry herb vapes here before, but they’re usually fairly advanced with fancy battery life, apps to control temperature, and other neat tricks. We recently tested a much simpler vape, the DynaVap M, and it blows the battery based vapes away!
As legislation to legalize medicinal and recreational cannabis moves forward in numerous states, and as CBD use continues to explode, new technologies for consumption are coming to market. The Omura Series X is a sleek device that heats, rather than burns, whole flower herbs with impressive results. It reenvisions the entire vaping process and looks like something Apple would release.
When it comes to “gear,” one of the best recent trends has been seeing how technology advances are transforming the medical and recreational cannabis business. One example is the Cloudious9 Atomic9 Vaporizer. At under $60, it is small, discreet, heats rapidly, and is a pleasure to use.
The other day we reviewed the Vessel, a line of vape pen batteries that are as elegant as they are enjoyable to use. Vessel offers two accessories that enhance the experience further. The BASE Charging Stand is a handy drop-in charging stand, and the Rover provides a safe way to store and carry your Vessel.
Among the most impressive things to observe in the technology space are those times when someone comes up with a “better mousetrap” that’s far better than what it seeks to replace. This is the case with vape pen batteries from a small company called Vessel. They may be “just” batteries for 510 thread cartridges, but they are nothing short of gorgeous.
Another CES has come and gone, and as we have in the past, we’ve sorted through hundreds upon hundreds of products to bring you the ones we thought were the most exciting, useful, disruptive, or clever. Take a look at our Best of CES 2020 award picks, and see what you think!
Combining quality materials, a simple but refined industrial design, and high performance, the Zeus Arc GT is a superb vape. The good people at TVape sent us one of the $229.99 portable vapes for review, and we are impressed. Anodized aluminum with a matte black finish and a gold chamber and vapor path, are key to why this is a quality product.
If you’re looking for a vaporizer that does it all, you should definitely check out the Arizer Extreme Q. It’s a vape, it’s an aromatherapy device, it’s a high-tech toy, and it’s serious business. Arizer refers to it as their “heavy hitter” and they aren’t kidding.
Last year, we looked at the Kinin “personal aromatherapy” pens, which were basically vape pens for essential oils. At the time, they came as sealed, disposable pens, and only three flavors were available. Now Kinin has switched to a rechargeable pod system and expanded to 8 available flavors, so we’re revisiting the whole Kinin system!
We recently reviewed Utillian 721 vaporizer thanks to TVape. The company was also kind enough to also send along the ZEUS Iceborn, and we quickly came to appreciate the advantage this accessory brings to the excellent 721. The Utillian 721 delivers vapor that is not uncomfortably warm but, thanks to the Iceborn, it can be downright cool.
WARNING: The products discussed may contain or use nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical; in many cities and a few states, you must be 21 to purchase vaping products or products containing nicotine. Please familiarize yourself with and obey the law in your location. TVape offered us the opportunity to review the Utillian 721 vape and the Zeus Iceborn accessory that helps you chill out (literally) even more during a vaping session. The Utillian 721 has an MSRP of $174.99 while the Iceborn accessory is $69.99. That may sound pricey but, together, they are an absolute pleasure to use.
PAX has teamed up with music group Thievery Corporation to release a limited edition PAX Era, and it’s launching just in time for 4.20. The new Era is designed to match the Thievery Corps. new album cover for ‘Treasures for the Temple’.
WARNING: The products discussed may contain or use nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical; in many cities and a few states, you must be 21 to purchase vaping products or products containing nicotine. Please familiarize yourself with and obey the law in your location. Vape technology has come a long way in recent years. But while vapes have gotten smaller, more efficient, and even prettier, finding a good vape for concentrate is still a struggle. Instead users are often relegated to using complicated dabbing rigs.

Nicotine is an addictive chemical; in many cities and a few states, you must be 21 to purchase vaping products or products containing nicotine. Please familiarize yourself with and obey the law in your location. Essential oils, as room vaporizers, personal vaporizers, lotions, drinks, and any other way to consume them, have become a very big business. People are becoming more and more aware of the various health benefits from plant extracts, but it can be prohibitively complex and expensive to customize.
