Buying a new laptop is stressful — especially when you want something that is light enough to carry every day, something you can use in every scenario you might find yourself in, and yet is powerful enough to work as your primary computer. For your consideration, I submit the Lenovo Yoga 920 2-in-1; it’s the best of all worlds.

Lenovo’s Smart Display Is What the Echo Show Should Have Been!

Voice assistants on our phones, from Google to Alexa to Siri, have gone from novelties to key parts of our daily workflow. Up until now, with the exception of the Amazon Echo Show, they’ve been stuck solely on phones, tablets, and speakers. Lenovo is smashing everyone’s perception of a digital assistant with the Smart Display, which will quickly become the main hub of your home. The Smart display one-ups the Amazon Echo Show by offering larger screen options, and instead of Alexa, it’s focused on Google Assistant integration.

Lenovo Yoga Mouse – The Only Mouse You Need

So let’s be honest.  A mouse is a mouse is a mouse.  Right?  Well, maybe not so much.  Technically, a mouse pretty much does the same thing when it was conceived in the 1970s but the innards of the device itself, along with the way they connect to your PC or Mac.

AT CES 2017, the Lenovo Legion Has Got Game

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Lenovo. All opinions are mine. Judie reviewed the Android version of the Lenovo Yoga Book last month and loved it. She just finished using it while covering CES 2017 and has enjoyed it so much that I just ordered one. That, however, is not the only Lenovo product worthy of note.

Lenovo Yoga Book: A Versatile and Unique Android Hybrid

I’ve had the 12.9″ iPad Pro since it came out, and while there are things I absolutely love about using a larger tablet, lugging it around isn’t one of them. Add on a detachable keyboard or case, and it suddenly weighs as much or more than a Macbook. For portability and features, the Lenovo Yoga Book 2-in-1 is downright attractive.

Lenovo Buys Motorola from Google for $2.91 Billion, Your Thoughts?

Today we got confirmation that Google sold its money-losing Motorola handset business for about $3 billion to Lenovo. Google bought Motorola for $12.5 billion a couple of years ago, then sold off the set-top box unit and now the handset division. With the sale Google retains many of the valuable Motorola patents it sought initially.

3.25 Million Reasons Lenovo’s Yang Yuanqing Is CEO-Awesomeness

Lenovo’s Yang Yuanqing just gave $3.25 million of his bonus to 10,000 Lenovo employees. That’s $250,000 more than he gave last year and comes to about a month’s extra pay for many benefitting from his generosity. Don’t hold a benefit for Yang though. Even after his gift he made over $11 million last year. Via The Verge

If you are not familiar with the Yoga 11S Ultrabook convertible it is a thin, 11.6” ultrabook that will ship with a Core i3, i5 or i7 third generation Intel processor. That means those purchasing the Yoga 11S can configure the machine that will best serve their needs. What makes the Yoga 11S special is its ability to quickly and easily convert into four different modes. That means the device can serve…

Did you purchase a Lenovo ThinkCentre M70z or M90z All-in-One Computer? Or did you win one of the three that we gave away here on Gear Diary? If so, then you’ll want to pay attention to this recall notice. There are 16,000 M70z and M90z units affected, and the recall is focusing on the power supplies specifically because they can overheat and become a fire hazard! Well this is a bit different… I have seen other forms of live advertising in the past, but Lenovo just took it to a new level. We have all heard of blazing fast computers and internet speeds, but what about typing on top of a car?
