It looks as if Apple is going to have a beta going at all times. With less than a week since 8.3 was released, Apple has already released the beta for iOS 8.4.
Thanks to the most recent iOS 8.3 update pushed by Apple earlier in the week, if you have an iPhone on the Sprint Network, you’ll be able to actually make calls over Wi-Fi, for free.
I hate phone cases, but know for most people they are a real need – and for our kids we mandated full-protection cases when we got iPhones a few years ago. I’ve reviewed cases before, and promptly removed them! So having Loop Straitjacket STILL on my iPhone for more than two months after installing it tells me this is something special.
After being in beta for a little over two months, Apple has decided to release iOS 8.3 today, which include some MAJOR new features and enhancements, and of course, the obvious bug fixes.
If you’ve been looking to minimize the things you carry in your pockets, and are a fan of wallet cases for your phone, you might be interested in the BulletTrain SAFE Wallet Case for the iPhone 6 that was just successfully funded, pulling in over $22,000 over at KickStarter.
A little over a week ago, Apple pushed their iOS 8.2 update to the public, and many jailbreakers, including myself were left wondering if we would see Cydia on our iDevices if we updated.
Looks like Instagram is taking a cue from Facebook and releasing more apps for their major app by debuting their standalone Layout app that essentially does most of what competing app, PicStitch already does.
In a new report from The Wall Street Journal, Apple seems to be in the talks to launch an slimmed-down online television service which would have around 25 channels with some major names like ABC, CBS, and Fox, and heavy hitter cable channels like E!, and Syfy.
For those of you who enjoy the feel of a naked iPhone, but still want a bit of protection with minimum bulk, you may be in luck. California based accessory maker Totallee has “The Scarf”, the World’s thinnest case.
It’s not often that you’ll come across a case for the iPhone 6 Plus that is protective, svelte, fashionable, and reasonably priced, but the Trina Turk iPhone case line accomplishes all that and more. Wisely leaving their base case production to the very accomplished folks at Incipio, these cases feature Trina Turk‘s eye-pleasing patterns.
Apple recently released a public beta for iOS 8.3 that anyone can sign up to check out. Prior to today, you had to be a part of Apple’s Beta Software Program which was open to developers only at the time. But as of today, the iOS 8.3 Beta operating system is now open to all users.
When a hot tech product launches, everyone rushes to get it, all tech sites scramble to review it right away … but often that is the last anyone hears about it. But with updates so easy to process now, more and more products mature nicely over time. Now 5 months post-launch I have an iPhone 6 Plus … what do I think?
With warm weather allegedly on the horizon, it is time to start getting out and getting into shape. Pear Sports has developed a $99.95 kit turning your iPhone or Android phone into a training station. This week’s flurry of news and smartphone announcements, combined with the impending launch of the Apple Watch, has me thinking a great deal about my next phone. Now, Android versus iOS versus Windows Phone is one part of the debate, but even when I narrow it down there’s another piece: how many accessories are out there?
After being pulled from the App Store in 2011, and a brief return before being removed in 2014, the popular open source media player “VLC for iPhone” is now back! VLC allows you to play nearly every kind of video format you can possibly think of.
Coming soon to the ModMYI repo on Cydia is RETURN, a tweak by the Developer of Boxy 2, and certified minimalist William Vabrinskas. What Return does is simply display the most recently opened apps above your Control Center. This of it as your Control Centers App Switcher. And for someone who tends to use my toggles more, this has the potential to be an essential tweak. Along with tweaks like…

Velox 2 is an upcoming tweak from a friend of mine by the name of Phillip Tennen (@phillipten on Twitter) that allows you to interact with your apps on the Springboard in an amazing new way. Written from the ground, a follow-up to the tweak Velox by ApexTweaks for iOS6, Velox 2 takes us on a new journey in its ways to view notifications on our Springboard. With gestures like…
The Henge Docks Gravitas for iOS devices is, by far, my favorite phone and tablet dock. The problem is that the review unit came wasn’t designed for the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. Fortunately Henge Docks has the Life After Device program and is rolling out new inserts that work with current devices. That means you are covered.
As an iPhone holder since the iPhone 4S, I’ve always wanted one thing from my Apple device, freedom. Coming from an HTC Thunderbolt, which at the time was innovative (unlimited data? Who does THIS anymore!?), which at the time I had rooted courtesy of the Cyanogen jailbreak.
We all know that Apple is doomed… it must be, people have been saying so since the Mac vs. PC days of the late 1980s. In spite of their inevitable demise, Apple chose yesterday to announce that it had exceeded profit and revenue estimates while selling 74.5 million iPhones and 21.4 million iPads last quarter.
