Raina loves the Distil Union Wally Agent wallet I reviewed some time ago. I love my Distil Union Wally Bifold; I reviewed the first release and then reviewed the updated version. Now the company has released a third edition of the Wally Bifold. It’s better and more secure than ever.
Minimalism is in, and one of the best places to start scaling back on all the crap you own (or carry) is in your own back pocket. Rather than carrying a wallet stuffed with bills, receipts, cards, and who knows what else, you could be carrying a PITAKA New, a magnetic modular Carbon Fiber Wallet.
We reviewed the Micro Wallet from Distil Union. I followed up with a review of the Wally Agent. Now we turn our focus to a revised version of the Wally Bifold. I reviewed the original Wally Bifold; I stopped using it for a specific reason and, in the updated version, that issue has been resolved. I love it!
A few weeks ago, we reviewed the Wally Micro, the smallest of Distil Union’s wallet offerings. The Micro is great if you want to travel light. At the other end of the spectrum is the Distil Union Wally Agent Billfold Wallet. It isn’t all that large, but it holds significantly more than the Micro. Here’s a look.
This is the first of a series of reviews of Distil Union wallets. All feature thoughtful design and are all well-crafted. This being the first review I thought I would begin with the smallest of the review samples I was sent- the Wally Micro. This is the smallest wallet I have ever used, and I’m amazed how much it holds.
Whether you are an experienced, well-seasoned traveler or a person who travels just a few times a year, keeping your critical information handy and organized is essential. In my career, I’ve logged well over 2 million miles in the air, and if there is one thing I’ve learned, having all of your boarding passes, passport and frequent travel cards in one location makes travel less stressful.
The X-Doria Stash Case for iPhone 7 is under $20, but it feels and functions like a far more expensive case. It’s highly protective and holds a couple of cards without becoming a bulky brick of a case. That makes it a great option for anyone who is looking to travel light but still needs a license and credit card.
Is it safe to say that one of the best iPhone wallet cases that I’ve personally tried out just so happened to be by a company who specializes in wallets? Well if it is, let me just say: Bellroy has the best iPhone 7 wallet case I’ve used thus far.
Just last year, Dan reviewed Distil Union’s Wally Bifold wallet, an innovative take on a minimalistic wallet and they have actually updated their popular wallet by improving the already great design.
If you are fan of the website Everyday Carry, you may be familiar with the site’s ability to make you want to carry some of the most unusual brands of gadgets and smart accessories that make pocketing more efficient.
I have been a fan of slim front pocket style wallets for some time now. Once you get used to a compact way to carry your cards and cash, it’s impossible to go back to a bulkier setup. It feels like there’s an infinite number of styles in slim wallets.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to check out Nomad’s Horween Leather Collection Lightning Wallet for iPhones, and it has saved me on more than one occasion!
If you are looking for a minimalist wallet that isn’t minimal in style or functionality you don’t want to look any further than the Essentialist Wallet. This wallet is serious about carrying your cards and cash and that’s just the beginning. Plus it looks like it means serious business. Add in the optional bottle opener and USB 3.0 drive and your wallet is much more than a wallet!
To start out this review, let me just say: I’ve wasted a LOT of time trying out minimalistic wallets, and “combination cards” (ahem.. COIN) that simply didn’t understand what I wanted when it came to consolidating all of my cards/information. But the Wocket Wallet is the CLOSEST I’ve come to something perfect. The Wocket Wallet is the wallet that actually blends technology, sophistication, leather, and credit cards all in one. They sent me over their wallet to review, and I’ve been doing just that for the past month or so, and I can actually be the one to say this…
One of the things that I loved about my monogram Louis Vuitton Zippy organizer wallet was its design. It could hold all of my credit and ID cards, bills, and plane tickets in one compact, zippable clutch The only thing it couldn’t do was hold my phone; if it had a little bigger pocket, it would have been perfect.
I look at wallets for three things: Simplicity, minimalism, and overall design. On average I carry around eight cards, along with a few cards and a MetroPass, so I want my wallet to house all of this. This is where the TGT Wallet helped me out.
Have you ever had a wooden wallet? Better yet, have you ever had a wooden wallet with the Game of Throne’s Stark House Sigil? Well I have, and you can also, with the Pyramid Wallet.
A fan of minimalism, one thing I love about small wallets is the ability to carry only the bare necessities with me. So when I had the opportunity to review Ainste’s Even Wallet Mini, I was surprised at how great it worked out.
A good wallet is hard to find, and essential to my everyday carry, separate in its own pocket from my cell phone. But one thing I’ve always struggled with is finding a decent wallet that isn’t just your traditional black or brown, and doesn’t leave a lump in my pocket. And my problems may have been solved with the Ridge Wallet 2.0. I had the opportunity to review the Ridge Wallet, which is a minimalistic wallet that simply does exactly what the company said it would when they originally launched a Kickstarter back in 2013. After raising over $250,000…
Personally, I’ve never been a big fan of “wallet cases” for cell phones because of the fear of your credit cards being exposed while on a call, so when Bellroy sent me their Phone Pocket Plus Case, I was ready. When you usually think of wallets that men carry, majority of them are brown or black, and they all look pretty dull. Bellroy’s Element Phone Pocket Plus available in Black, Slate Gray, or Cognac are certainly not cheap at $119.95, so when I received the Cognac color (personally picked out), I was actually happy I did not go the traditional…
The other day we reviewed the Wally Bifold slim wallet from Distil Union. Today we are taking a look at the smaller, thinner, even more minimalistic sibling, the Distil Union Wally Sleeve. This super-thin leather wallet sleeve retails for $29.99. It is for the person who wants to take their minimalist wallet to an entirely new, and thinner level.
