Titanfall was released on 3/11/14 to a shower of positive reviews. Since then, players have logged countless hours and have made some general complaints. Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall’s developer, has been surprisingly responsive to its fans with regard to server outage updates as well as quickly releasing game balancing and bug-fix updates. Just yesterday, a beta matchmaking balance update was released.

Today was the day millions of Xbox One owners were waiting for: the release of Titanfall. All this waiting, only to get home to find that the always-reliable Xbox Live has let them down. Although it’s not as big of a deal as some Twitter reactions say, it really brings into question the legitimacy of always-online games.
NBA Live 14 brings the basketball game series back to the court with impressive graphics, detailed player controls, and familiar EA Sports enhancements. Players get a wide range of experiences ranging from the extensive Dynasty levels to the special buzzbeater Moments (one is five seconds long).

So here’s a sweet deal for those of you looking to purchase an Xbox One. Microsoft is now offering an Xbox One Titanfall bundle, which includes the Xbox One, a digital download of Titanfall, and a month of Xbox Live; all for the price of your standard Xbox One. This almost makes me wish I wasn’t an early adopter. Almost.
Action-RPG Sacred crashed onto the scene in 2004 – literally! It was unstable and buggy, but promising enough and with great support, and it hooked an audience. Sacred 2 continued to advance the genre, but since Deep Silver took over the Sacred license in 2009 little has been heard. Now we have release info – Sacred 3 arrives this summer!
Titanfall’s developer, Respawn, held a media event last week in London, but there was an embargo on all video and impressions that expired yesterday. You can guess what happened yesterday as TONS of videos and commentary showing footage from this weekend’s beta build flooded the interwebs. Past the break, you’ll find a few choice links for your viewing pleasure.

In 1998 I got Thief as a birthday present. It presented a morally ambiguous first-person world with choices and freedom, and the ability to sneak around the world in a way no game had ever done before. The sequels were excellent. Now we get a ‘reboot’ of the series – and a trailer to tell us what to expect.
Are you excited for Titanfall to be released on Xbox One and PC on March 11th? So am I! I cannot legally say whether or not I took part in the Alpha test, but there is a Beta test on the way! Respawn tweeted today that Beta test details will be announced sometime early next week, so stay tuned!

It seems everyone who reviews Windows Phone 8 loves it, they just “aren’t in love with it”. And Nokia Q4 2013 sales figures show a product category limping so badly it couldn’t eek out a sales gain during the recent holiday quarter. I’ve loved video game trading site Goozex for more than 7 years since it launched in 2006.
