‘The Martian’ Is Setting a High Bar with Amazing Trailers

There’s a slew of awesome science fiction movies coming out this fall, but “The Martian” looks to be one of the most interesting. The basic premise is that we send a mission to Mars, and in the course of an emergency one of the astronauts is left stranded on the surface, scrounging to survive while awaiting rescue in 4 years.

Why There is So Much Backlash Against the “Stonewall” Trailer

Have you heard of the Stonewall Riots? Here’s a quick refresher: on June 28th, 1969, the police raided a gay bar called the Stonewall Inn in New York City. The patrons fought back, and this sparked the modern gay rights movement. Now there’s a movie coming, but along with the trailer came a well-justified backlash from within the LGBT community.

HTC Re Review: Small Camera, Big Punch

I have been looking for a portable camera that is small, affordable, and provides excellent video and photo quality. The market is flooded, but I was recently given the opportunity to review the HTC Re which currently retails for $117 on Amazon. While this camera looks odd, can it fit the bill? Read on for the review and sample images.

The New “Heroes Reborn” Trailer ALMOST Makes up for the Heroes Series

Heroes was a really good show, at first. It followed pretty familiar comic/sci-fi territory of people developing superhuman abilities, and the various conspiracies designed to stop and control them. Plus bad guys, pretty people, and of course, some mind-bending twists. We won’t discuss how quickly later seasons managed to squander the goodwill of that first magical season.

We Cut Our Cable and Don’t Regret a Thing!

About a month ago, we decided to tighten up our budget, and one of the obvious places was cable. A quick once-over of our viewing habits showed our TV spent more time tuned to our Roku box than the cable box anyway, so I cut our plan back to just internet, and we really don’t miss cable at all!

‘Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser’ to Go Straight to Crackle

Does anyone remember direct to video?  Yeah I do.  Usually that means the movie sucked so bad that it wasn’t worth the studio putting it in theaters.  Well it looks like direct to streaming seems to be a thing now that the mullet sporting David Spade will be appearing in Joe Dirt 2 on Crackle this summer.

Paul Rudd Stands off with Yellowjacket in New Ant-Man Trailer

Marvel and Disney’s relationship is an odd one that I’m pretty much on the fence about. But I’m appreciative of films like Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy so I was super excited when they announced Ant-Man would show up on the silver screen. And we now have a trailer to go with it.
